Measuring at 7.5 meters wide x 10.5 meters long, each uma is designed with comfort and convenience in mind. Guests will enjoy two king-sized beds downstairs and a spacious second-story loft with a king-sized or two single beds. Each uma also features two air-conditioning units, hot water heaters for hot showers, and mini-refrigerator units to ensure a personalized level of comfort.

The umas are named after Mentawai animals and are Biowak (monitor lizard), Monyet (monkey), Ikan (fish), Kura (turtle), Burung (bird), Sikerei (shaman) the triple uma, Buaya (crocodile), Lumba (dolphin), Utan (jungle), and Koat (Wave).

Our commitment to sustainability is evident in the design of our umas, as the back one-third of each is built on a massive cistern that holds close to 10,000 gallons of rainwater. Our luxury surf resort is located in the middle of the best surf area in the entire world, directly in front of the legendary Kandui Left and Baby Kandui, and there are dozens of other spots within 5-30 minutes by fast boat in all directions.

We have a solid inventory of boats for accessing the waves, including two, five-meter plastic dinghies, one 4.5 meter fiberglass dinghy, one 5.2 meter Kahajaya center-console speed boat, and three 45-50 foot longboats for accessing spots outside of Playgrounds such as Hideaways, Nipussi, Burgerworld, and E-Bay.

Our fleet of surf boats is launched from four cement docks. Three of the docks are located in a mangrove lagoon behind each section of the resort, making for easy transitions to and from the resort. The fourth dock is a jetty located on the front beach side of the resort, in a keyhole channel between Kandui Left and Baby Kandui.

Our longboats are 45-50 feet long and five to six feet wide, designed to cut through chop better than any boats around, providing a smooth, comfortable and stable ride even through rough seas. They are constructed with a strong and durable materials and powered by powerful engines, reaching speeds of 20+ knots. All boats are equipped with canopies, comfortable padded seats, and all the safety gear including life jackets, flares, GPS, and satellite phone contained in a Pelican case. Each boat is also equipped with a drinking water dispenser and cooler with snacks and drinks for your convenience and comfort.
